Guildwood Village Animal Clinic is defined by compassionate, quality care and professional service. Our owner, Audrey Souccar, graduated in 1986 and opened the clinic in 1988. We treat your pets as members of our family. Guildwood Village Animal Clinic works closely with Boardwalk Animal Hospital, our satellite clinic. We are committed to continuing education to take advantage of the latest in techniques and technology.
Dr. Audrey Souccar, DVM
Dr. Audrey Souccar graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1986. She began working in a referral clinic that specialized in ophthalmology, internal medicine, and surgery. Audrey opened her first practice, the Guildwood Village Animal Clinic, in 1988 in Scarborough and her second practice with her husband Dr. James Young, the Boardwalk Animal Hospital, in 1997 in the beaches more centrally located. She currently divides her time between both practices. Audrey and James have a grandson and two daughters. They share their home with three dogs, Briar, Breazy and Ellie, and 4 cats, Mickey, Mittens, Pesto and Shadow. Audrey enjoys horseback riding, running, and reading in her spare time. Audrey also participates in horse show competitions with her daughter Jamie during the summer season.
Dr. James Young, DVM
Dr. James Young graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1990. He began practicing in Oshawa in a very busy small animal practice. In 1996 he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practice. He and his wife Dr. Audrey Souccar opened the Boardwalk Animal Hospital in 1997. He has two daughters, one grandson, four cats and three dogs. In his spare time, he enjoys cycling and cycling endurance racing.
Dr. Carolyn Woodward, DVM
Dr. Carolyn Woodward joined our practice in 2013, after graduating from the University of P.E.I.’s Atlantic Veterinary College in 1997. She had practiced in the United States for 4 years before returning to Canada and joining Guildwood Village Animal Clinic as an associate vet. Dr. Woodward particularly enjoys behavior issues, surgery and diagnostics with the furry patients she treats.
Dr. Kathy Hopkins, DVM
Dr. Kathy Hopkins joined the practice in September, 2001. A graduate of the University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College in 1986, she has practiced at numerous clinics in the Greater Toronto Area. Dr. Hopkins enjoys patient medical care, client relations and diagnostics. Dr. Hopkins shares her home with her husband, 3 teenage children (who definitely keep her busy), a dog and 2 cats.
Tammy Colley graduated from Sheridan College In Animal Care in 1992. She has been working with animals for 20 years and joined the team at Guildwood Village Animal Clinic in 2003. Tammy spends her spare time travelling throughout Ontario and Quebec showing her Oriental Shorthair Cats and Kittens with the Canadian Cat Association. Her other furry and feathered friends consist of a Bull Mastiff named Takara, Budgies named Vert and Cookie Monster and a cockatiel named Korry.
